an Artist-in-Residence Installation

May - December 2023

150 square foot mosaic mural of the layers of the ocean on display at 29th and Winnie St in Galveston, Texas

Created with student artists ages 4-17 over the course of a six-week summer camp and twice-weekly Fall after-school Eco-Art residency at Urban Strategies, Inc.

Responsibilities included designing the composition for this mural, writing original Eco-Art curricula, leading painting, science, and ceramic workshops, and fostering a positive, creative atmosphere that allowed student artists to freely explore painting and see their work immortalized as a permanent fixture in their neighborhood.
